When a graduate requests additional tickets beyond the limit, they join a waitlist. Unclaimed tickets from graduates who registered fewer guests are released to the waitlist automatically at a deadline you configure, such as 72 hours before the ceremony. Accessibility requests (wheelchair seating, interpreter needs, reserved parking) are captured during guest registration and routed to your facilities coordinator immediately.

When the registrar marks a ceremony as completed, the system writes degree conferral records to the SIS in a single database transaction. Student statuses update to alumni. Transcripts reflect the conferred degree, conferral date, honors designations, and specialization. Alumni records are created with the graduate's program history, contact information, and degree details. This happens within minutes, not over a two-week manual update cycle. The same transaction triggers post-ceremony communications: digital diploma delivery, alumni welcome messages, photo gallery access, and survey links.

Certificate data, legal name, degree title, Latin honors, departmental honors, specialization track, and conferral date, comes from a single verified record in the system. Graduates confirm their legal name during ceremony registration. The honors committee confirms designations through a portal workflow with timestamps. The registrar reviews a batch preview queue that flags any record with recent changes, unconfirmed honors, or name mismatches before sending the file to the print vendor. Because the certificate, the commencement program, and the transcript all draw from the same data row, discrepancies between documents are structurally prevented.

Yes. During ceremony registration, graduates provide gown size, cap measurements, and any special requirements. The system associates each graduate with the correct regalia specifications for their degree program (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral) including hood colors specific to their discipline. When the confirmed graduate list is finalized, the registrar exports a complete regalia order file grouped by vendor requirements. Distribution tracking records which graduates have picked up their regalia, which have outstanding orders, and which need last-minute additions because they were confirmed after the initial order deadline.
