OpenEduCat services are intended for legitimate educational institution management purposes including: student information management, academic administration, financial management, communication with stakeholders, and other education-related activities as supported by our platform.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users may not: attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data; transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code; engage in activities that disrupt service for other users; use the service for illegal purposes; share accounts or credentials with unauthorized parties; violate intellectual property rights; or collect data for unauthorized purposes.
4. Data Use and Privacy
Users must handle all data in compliance with applicable privacy laws including GDPR, FERPA, and local regulations. Student data must be used only for legitimate educational purposes. Users are responsible for obtaining necessary consents for data processing and must report any data breaches immediately.
5. Security Requirements
Users must: use strong, unique passwords; enable multi-factor authentication where available; keep login credentials confidential; log out from shared devices; report suspected security incidents promptly; and follow institutional security policies.
6. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this policy may result in: warning notifications, temporary suspension of access, permanent termination of service, legal action for serious violations, and reporting to law enforcement where required. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations.

To report violations of this policy or suspicious activity, contact abuse@openeducat.org. Include as much detail as possible including dates, times, and any evidence. Reports are treated confidentially.
